Every identity,
one single connection

Wallet, national digital identity, document chip, document verification, biometrics: Meelo brings every identity verification method together in a single API, built into your journeys.

Wallet and digital identity aggregator

The EUDI Wallet and national digital identities from across Europe, domestic and foreign alike, through a single connection. Meelo handles each country's specifics, registration as a relying party, certificates, updates and maintenance. Data arrives signed by the State, in seconds.

NFC chip reading

In store and in branch, the chip in an ID card or passport is read with a simple smartphone or tablet. Online, it takes over for customers without a wallet. State-signed data that cannot be forged.

Document verification

Not every document will be in the wallet right away, and some never will: residence permits, non-EU documents, proof of address or income. Meelo verifies their authenticity within the same journey.

Biometrics

Facial recognition and liveness detection, to make sure the person presenting the document is its rightful holder.

Built into your journeys

The wallet online, NFC reading in store: Meelo automatically offers each customer the best method. Your existing journeys stay in place: the wallet is added on top, without rebuilding everything. Our teams support you from journey design to go-live.

A sovereign European solution

A French platform, data hosted in Europe, compliant with GDPR and eIDAS 2.0.

Key questions about the EUDI Wallet

Icône flèche

What is the EUDI Wallet?

The EUDI Wallet (European Digital Identity Wallet) is an app provided by each Member State under the eIDAS 2.0 regulation. It lets people prove their identity and share certified attestations from their phone, with a level of assurance equivalent to an ID document.

Do you need to register to accept the wallet?

Yes. Any company requesting data from a wallet must be registered as a relying party in its country, service by service, and maintain certificates. Meelo handles these formalities and their follow-up.

Are my foreign customers affected?

Yes. A wallet issued by any Member State has the same value as one issued in your own country. Meelo accepts European wallets and national digital identities within the same integration.

What about customers without a wallet?

They are verified within the same integration: NFC reading of their document's chip, or document verification and biometrics. Meelo automatically offers the right method to each customer.

Will the wallet hold every document?

No, not for a long time, and perhaps never for some. The wallet starts with identity. Supporting documents (proof of address, income, diplomas) will arrive gradually, as issuers connect to it, and many will not. Residence permits, non-EU documents, paper documents: document verification remains essential, and Meelo keeps it in the same journey.

Does the wallet replace KYC?

It replaces one step: proof of identity. It says nothing about creditworthiness, fraud after account opening, or business customers. Meelo builds it into a complete journey rather than as a standalone component.
