ALFA (French insurance fraud agency)

ALFA (Agence de lutte contre la fraude à l'assurance) is the French industry body that supports insurers in detecting and investigating fraud. It trains investigators, publishes reference statistics on identified fraud and coordinates exchanges between companies. It is a French market arrangement, with no direct equivalent in other countries. Its annual figures are authoritative, while remaining partial since not every company reports its full results.
