BORIS (Beneficial Ownership Registers Interconnection System) is the system that interconnects national beneficial ownership registers across the European Union. Its purpose is to make it as easy to verify the beneficial owners of a foreign company as those of a domestic one. It is a key enabler of the ownership chain transparency required by AML6.
