KYS (Know Your Supplier)

KYS (Know Your Supplier) refers to verifying the identity, financial soundness and reliability of suppliers, following the same logic as KYB applied to customers. It helps detect a shell company, a failing supplier or a fraud risk before committing, and then monitor that risk over time. Frameworks such as DORA have raised the stakes around third-party providers.
