Level of Assurance (LoA)

The Level of Assurance (LoA) measures the reliability of an electronic identification method. eIDAS defines three levels—low, substantial, and high—based on the rigor of the initial verification and technical security. The EUDI Wallet aims for the high level of assurance, making it a high-level proof of identity suitable for sensitive use cases such as banking.
