Verifiable credential

A verifiable credential is a piece of digital data cryptographically signed by its issuer, allowing a third party to verify its authenticity and integrity without needing to contact the issuer. This is the mechanism that makes the attributes presented by the EUDI Wallet reliable: the signature proves the origin and guarantees that the data has not been altered.
