Your customers already have a digital identity.
Accept it.
By the end of 2027, eIDAS 2.0 will make the European Wallet mandatory for most businesses that verify identities.
But dozens of national digital identities already exist: 80 to 95% adoption in the Nordic countries, 83% in Italy. More than 100 million Europeans already identify themselves this way.
Meelo already accepts them today, reads the NFC chip in identity documents, and falls back to standard document verification.
A single integration for all your journeys: online, in-store or in branch, in France and internationally.

The operational challenge of eIDAS 2.0
Accept the wallet,
on your terms
By the end of 2027, you will need to accept the wallet as soon as a customer presents it. And to be authorised to do so, you must first register with the relevant authority. This takes preparation - it cannot be improvised.
Managing a multi-speed Europe
National identities are already widely adopted in some countries (up to 95% take-up in Northern Europe), wallets are lagging behind in others, and some customers have neither: you will need to verify everyone, without creating a two-tier journey.
Standing up to AI-generated fake documents
An AI-generated fake document can no longer be spotted with the naked eye, or even by some automated checks. Being compliant is not enough: without enhanced controls, fraud gets through.
Covering what the wallet doesn't cover
The wallet certifies identity, but it does not tell you whether your customer can pay, nor does it detect fraud that occurs after onboarding.
