Agentic AI (autonomous agent)

Agentic AI refers to autonomous software agents that can chain actions together to achieve a goal: placing an order, initiating a payment, completing a file, or subscribing to a service on behalf of a third party. This evolution raises a direct question of trust: when an agent acts, it must be possible to authenticate it, verify that it is indeed acting on behalf of the declared party, and track its actions, just as one would for a human proxy. This is an emerging extension of the logic of third-party verification.
