Loi Sapin 2 (French anti-corruption law)

Loi Sapin 2 (2016) strengthens the fight against corruption and influence peddling in France. It requires large companies to put an anti-corruption programme in place: risk mapping, third party assessment (customers, suppliers, intermediaries), control procedures and training. It is a French statute, applying to companies subject to French law, with no direct equivalent elsewhere. Its third party assessment duty connects directly with KYB, KYS and due diligence practices.
