PEP (politically exposed person)

A PEP (politically exposed person) is an individual who holds or has held a prominent public function, including their close associates and family members. Due to an increased risk of corruption or money laundering, AML-CFT regulations require enhanced due diligence: this is not a prohibition, but rather a requirement for in-depth checks and ongoing monitoring.
